Cake Mix Cookies

Just discovered a great way to make quick cookies: use a cake mix! I am trying it right now. Cookies are in the oven. I just softened a stick of butter (margarine, actually) and mixed it with a white cake mix and an egg. Sugar cookies! The recipe I found said you can also use chocolate cake mix- be sure to add 2 T of water along with the butter and egg - and mix in chocolate chips, candy coated chips, nuts, oatmeal ... Sounds like an easy way to make M&M cookies. If these turn out, I'm trying the M&M idea tomorrow. I like cookies. :)
